Our interests in nanotechnology started when in 1992 Prof. Esteves bought the book "Nanosystems: Molecular Machinery, Manufacturing, and Computation" by Eric Drexler. Since then we have been investigating the chemistry in nanotructured materials such as molecular sieves (zeolites and design of molecular organic frameworks (MOFs - together with Prof. Simon J. Garden), nanoparticles and nanocatalysis.
